West Seattle Animal Hospital is looking for an exceptional Client Care Receptionist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys companion animals, but whose real superpower is working with people. While this is not a hands-on animal-care position, our Client Care Receptionists are essential members of the veterinary team. You’ll be one of the first people our clients interact with and one of the last they see before heading home. From answering phones and coordinating appointments to supporting clients during stressful situations, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm, professional, and positive hospital experience. We’re looking for someone who can provide exceptional customer service while staying organized and composed in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly. The Client Care Receptionist role is about much more than answering phones and scheduling appointments. You’ll often be the person who reassures a worried pet owner, helps a new client feel welcome, recognizes when a phone call may need immediate medical attention, and makes sure important information gets to the right member of the team. You’ll help clients navigate routine wellness visits, unexpected illnesses, financial conversations, and sometimes difficult or emotional moments. That takes patience, empathy, good judgment, and the ability to communicate professionally even when things get busy. Our strongest CCRs are caring, friendly, efficient, and confident in the quality of care our hospital provides. They understand that even on the busiest days, kindness and professionalism matter. The first and last impression our clients receive often begins with you—and we don’t underestimate how important that is.
