About The Position

HELP USA is seeking a dynamic, creative, and flexible Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to supervise client care at New Leaf, a family shelter in Brooklyn serving young, single mothers and children under five. The supervisor will lead a team of social workers who support families through domestic violence and mental health counseling, work with children with special needs, promote mother-child bonding, and develop projects and groups. The role requires strong engagement skills, leading by example, and providing supervision to LMSWs pursuing LCSW certification. As needed, the supervisor may also perform Client Care Coordinator duties, including coordinating services for an assigned caseload of clients.

Requirements

• Current registration as an LCSW.
• Compassion and respect for parents and children experiencing homelessness.
• Strong supervisory skills.
• Creativity and experience with group skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of social workers.
• Provide supervision to LMSWs seeking LCSW certification.
• Support services addressing domestic violence and mental health counseling, special-needs children, and mother-child bonding.
• Create projects and groups.
• As needed, function as a Client Care Coordinator and coordinate services for an assigned caseload.
