About The Position

The Client Advisor I - Longwood position focuses on relationship building and sales within a banking environment. The role involves understanding customer financial goals, matching them with Seacoast Bank products and services, and closing sales. It also requires proficiency in customer-facing technology, adherence to operational procedures, and participation in community events. The position emphasizes strong work ethics, teamwork, and continuous learning about banking products and industry changes. A key aspect is actively pursuing NMLS registration status and developing skills in consumer and small business deposit and lending products, as well as outbound calling and identifying referral opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience required.
  • College degree or 1+ years in retail sales and/or financial services experience required.
  • Flexible schedule required with ability to work during hours of operations, including weekends and occasional non-bank operational hours.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative.
  • PC Proficiency in Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Smartphone devices as well as Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • All Associates are required to adhere to the highest legal and ethical standards applicable to our industry.
  • All Associates will be familiar and compliant with all regulatory, legal, ethical and Bank risk mitigation requirements pertaining to both our industry and their individual roles.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit consistent relationship building including preparing for customer interactions, building rapport, and effectively utilizing questions to understand customer financial goals.
  • Match customer needs to Seacoast Bank products and services and confidently explain them.
  • Close sales based on customer needs and ask for referrals from new and existing customers.
  • Exhibit good listening skills and speak clearly and persuasively.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service, seeking out appropriate people for complex financial matters.
  • Balance business needs with customer requests while managing potential risk to the bank.
  • Embrace new technology and remain up to date on industry changes to foster idea generation and innovation.
  • Participate in community, charitable or civic events and deliver presentations regarding banking products/services.
  • Exhibit strong work ethics and teamwork, collaborating with other associates within the branch and across the organization.
  • Actively pursue NMLS registration status.
  • Build proficiencies in all consumer deposit and lending products and processes.

  • Open and process accounts, perform account maintenance, process checks, cash, and the sale of negotiable instrument transactions adhering to the banks current policies and procedures, to include AML/BSA requirements.
  • Ensure branch adherence to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements.
  • Review and adhere to branch operational procedures and controls while communicating updates to associates.
  • Follow up on all audit deficiencies.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and monitor own work for accuracy.
  • Follow instructions and respond to management direction to help resolve customer objections and solve problems.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures.
