About The Position

This position supports the servicing and retention of individual life and health insurance clients while partnering with Producers and senior account management staff to deliver exceptional customer service. This position assists with new business processing, policy servicing, renewals, and client communications while developing technical insurance knowledge and industry expertise. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate client records, supporting the sales process and ensuring timely execution of service-related activities. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to providing a high level of service to clients and internal partners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of insurance experience.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Individual Life and Health insurance experience preferred.
  • Current Life and Health Insurance licensing preferred or must obtain within 12 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service support for assigned individual Life and Health accounts.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding policies, billing, claims, coverage, and general account maintenance.
  • Process policy changes, beneficiary updates, ownership changes and other service transactions.
  • Assist with policy delivery and explanation of policy summaries when appropriate.
  • Support retention efforts through proactive client follow-up and service activities.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation within agency management and CRM systems.
  • Assist Producers and Account Managers with application processing and new business submissions.
  • Gather underwriting information and required documentation from clients.
  • Track application status and communicate updates to Producers and clients.
  • Coordinate medical examinations, paramed appointments, and other carrier requirements as needed.
  • Establish and maintain pending files through policy issue and delivery.
  • Obtain individual life and health insurance quotes from carrier and agency systems.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for clients.
  • Support the renewal process by reviewing upcoming expirations and collecting renewal information
  • Review policies and carrier documentation for accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for cross selling and refer prospects to appropriate internal partners.
  • Maintain client records in Applied EPIC, Salesforce and other agency systems.
  • File and organize electronic documents according to agency standards.
  • Monitor policy expirations and cancellation reports
  • Meet established workflow and service standards.
  • Provide backup support as needed within the department.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.
