About The Position

University Police and Public Safety is seeking a Clery Compliance Specialist to assist with all aspects of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) compliance oversight University-wide. The successful candidate will work cooperatively with other units to collect data and coordinate publication and distribution of the required Annual Security Reports and Annual Fire Safety Reports for each of the University’s campuses across the commonwealth. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. A fingerprint background check will be required to work within the Police facility in addition to standard background checks. Some travel is required for this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

  • Ability to work cooperatively with various levels of faculty, staff, students and federal/state agencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excel in a diverse environment
  • Strong computer skills to include but not limited to Microsoft Office and database inquiry are required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and delivery of training and monitor programs to ensure compliance
  • Assist with the development and revision of policies related to compliance
  • Conduct audits in response to reports of non-compliance
  • Develop a report and summarize investigation findings to the Clery Compliance Interdisciplinary Team, administration, federal agencies, etc.
  • Provide periodic updates, guidance and recommendations to the Federal/State Representatives, University President, Board of Trustees, Provost, and various senior Administrators
  • Respond to the United States Department of Education, PA Auditor General, and University Internal Audit inquiries and recommendations
  • Coordinate compliance processes and procedures at the Commonwealth Campuses
