The Laboratory Reference Centre (LRC) supports laboratory services for external hospital, clinic and private lab clients, manages client relations and invoicing processes, oversees communications processes such as developing client and operational memos, and handles other financial and administrative functions. The Clerk Typist performs a variety of clerical functions according to this office area including: addressing telephone and written inquiries from healthcare clients with regard to status and results of tests; forwards inquiries with regard to interpretation of laboratory results to appropriately qualified personnel; dispatches reports by fax transmission or via Lab Information System; records patient and test information into Laboratory Information System; assists in maintaining the Laboratory Reference Centre online test menu, website, and SOPs; compiles KPIs related to LRC agreements; distributes invoices and provides follow-up on aged accounts; attends and records minutes for LRC meetings; assists in maintaining inventory control; operates and maintains office equipment. Validates and confirms referred out test invoices. Performs other duties as assigned.
