About The Position

Responsible for assisting the Payroll Supervisor in processing the organization’s payroll.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or the equivalent education and experience.
  • One to three years of experience in processing payroll for medium to large companies.
  • Extensive computer skills in Word, Excel, Paycom payroll software, and the Report Smith Program.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent Customer Service.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, plane and solid geometry fundamentals, and trigonometry.
  • Apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll by ensuring the accuracy of timecards and individual timesheets in computerized payroll systems bi-weekly.
  • Review Batches: Stores, CAT/WAC, etc.
  • Liaise directly with line managers regarding their employee time cards.
  • Input payroll information into Paycom software.
  • Confirm Calculations.
  • Email and call Paycom when needed.
  • Download and print all deductions
  • Prepare Garnishment, 401 K checks, and Credit Union.
  • Process Child Support electronic payments.
  • Issue manual checks and update the Manual check log.
  • Process timecard labels for Dade and Broward.
  • Reset Sick time hours
  • Update vacation hours for service contracts & the organization.
  • Input the Monthly bonus report for Dade & Broward.
  • Wages statements for Nurse Dept., Recruiter & Subpoena
  • Process employment verifications, wage statements for Children & Families, the Social Security Administration, and other wage statement reports requested by employees.
  • Maintains records on employee timesheets and timecards.
  • Compiles periodic budget reports and monitors payroll expenses, overtime reports, and labor distribution.
  • Job Sales Tax Credit Employee Search address on the website, Empowerment Zone.
  • Update the Master zone list for Sales Tax Credit.
  • Keep the record for the Department of Labor Statistical Report on a 12-month basis.
  • Handle basic administrative payroll duties including data entry, filing, and faxing.
  • Customer Service.
  • All other duties as assigned.
