Reporting to the Patient Care Manager or designate and receiving work direction from the Physicians, the position performs admitting, secretarial and clerical duties for designated clinics/outpatient areas. This role involves scheduling and booking outpatient appointments, admitting patients by interviewing and obtaining personal patient information, and entering information into the health information system. The position also involves contacting physician's offices to request and/or transmit information, providing pre-appointment instructions, generating reports for operational purposes, and performing various clerical duties such as typing, sorting and distributing mail, maintaining office supplies, filing and retrieving documents, photocopying/faxing/scanning, and handling incoming calls, visitors, and hospital staff inquiries.
