Clerk III - 1st Shift
About The Position
GXO is hiring a Clerk III to support warehouse operations and help deliver supply chain services to customers. The role involves handling materials, completing packaging, routing, and systems work accurately, following established procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment. The clerk also participates in Lean warehousing activities and stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams. The position is scheduled for the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The job requires warehouse experience, operation of material-handling equipment, and use of a handheld scanner. Work takes place in warehouse environments that may be hot or cold, and includes frequent lifting and extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Experience operating material-handling equipment and using a handheld scanner.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.
- Ability to handle or manage tools or equipment.
- Ability to adjust focus and demonstrate close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
- Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed.
- Two years of experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Responsibilities
- Load and unload material using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, and other equipment.
- Ensure packaging, routing, and systems work is completed quickly and accurately.
- Participate in and guide the team in the Lean warehousing system on the floor.
- Complete tasks by following established procedures.
- Ensure all work is performed safely.
- Participate in stand-up activities with cross-functional teams.
