About The Position

This position is for a Clerk Cashier at Warman Food #128, reporting to the Food Store Manager. The role involves providing outstanding customer service, maintaining a clean and well-merchandised front-end, operating the till, packing customer purchases, and assisting with general stock duties. The position requires adherence to Saskatoon Co-op Policies and Procedures and achieving specific performance metrics such as checkout speed and accurate cash balancing. The applicant must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

Must possess adequate knowledge of all lines of merchandise handled by the Food Department.
Must be strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Applicant must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Engage in and supervise packing of customer purchases at the checkout counter.

Assist in general stock duties, including filling shelves and bins in the checkout area, when not cashing.
Achieve a checkout speed of 14 items per minute.
Responsible for achieving accurate cash balances.
Assist in supervision as required.
Other duties as assigned.
