This position is responsible for maintaining attendance records for the campus as assigned. The role involves acquiring and maintaining daily ADA records, collecting and recording all absences, and maintaining and processing other attendance records. The clerk will enter ADA and UE absences on the computer, balance the ADA report, notify parents, and write admits and early dismissals. Additionally, the role includes filing, referring students with attendance problems to the principal and/or attendance officer, and assisting principals, counselors, and parents in communicating with students. The position also involves processing student withdrawals, delivering messages and items to students, and recording student activity in and out. For elementary duties, the clerk will assist with registration, act as a receptionist, answer the phone, and collect homework for ill children. The role may also involve assisting in training student aides and in the preparation for the opening of the school year.
