About The Position

Wayne County Area Agency on Aging Transportation Department is seeking qualified applicants interested in expanding their administrative skills in a professional public service environment. You will be one of the first individuals that our community members will interact with and provide a positive impact on behalf of Wayne County Transportation Services (AAA). This position performs a wide range of front desk and clerical duties to the supervisors, staff, caseworkers, and administrative staff. You will perform various front desk and office functions including, greeting walk-ins, answering phones, taking messages, data entry, customer service, scanning, filing, arranging staff travel accommodations and reservations, and processing mail. This position will be required to meet deadlines in a timely manner and maintain a smooth paperwork flow of case management staff.

Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum; or Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment).
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment).
