In this role, you will provide administrative and case management support to Workers' Compensation Judges by preparing case materials, scheduling hearings, and maintaining records. Work involves ensuring hearings and daily operations run smoothly and information is processed accurately.

Requirements

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period.
  • In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  • If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate hearing events and review claim information to ensure accuracy
  • Organize documents, case files, and courtroom materials for both in person and virtual hearings
  • Check submitted materials for errors, finalize event information, and update WCAIS records
  • Handle subpoenas, mail physical evidence, and follow procedures for secure documentation
  • Respond to questions from the public, attorneys, and agencies in line with office policies
  • Scan, index, and track documents, reports, and case files within the required systems
