About The Position

Clean Team is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Area Manager to lead commercial cleaning operations in Bay City and the surrounding Mid-Michigan region. The role combines field leadership, quality control, customer relationship management, and administrative oversight. The Area Manager leads and develops cleaning associates, ensures client facilities meet contract standards, manages staffing and resources across multiple sites, and upholds safety and security procedures. The position is part-time, with evening hours and flexibility required.

Requirements

Experience in a supervisory, management, or team lead role.
Excellent communication skills for working with staff and corporate clients.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently in the field.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
Flexibility to work evenings.
Travel between local sites is required.

Responsibilities

Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate commercial cleaning associates.
Inspect client facilities to ensure contract compliance and quality standards.
Serve as the primary contact for local business clients, responding to requests and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Manage labor hours and shift schedules, and cover open assignments when needed.
Track supply and equipment inventory across multiple sites.
Enforce company policies and OSHA chemical safety guidelines.
Follow secure building lock-up procedures.
