About The Position

AK Building Services is a family-owned, people-first organization that provides janitorial services across South Florida and emphasizes training, career growth, professionalism, accountability, respect, and teamwork. The Cleaning Professional maintains clean, organized, and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, supporting the safety, comfort, and appearance of residential, commercial, or industrial spaces through routine and detailed cleaning. This part-time position is on the third shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and reports to the Job Supervisor. There is one opening.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safety practices.

• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and surface sanitizing.
• Clean and restock restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Remove waste and recycling according to facility guidelines.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report repair or supply needs.
• Follow established safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly.
• Perform deep-cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, window washing, or appliance cleaning as required.
• Ensure assigned areas meet quality and hygiene standards.
• Secure facilities after cleaning when applicable, including locking doors and turning off lights.
• Communicate maintenance issues or unusual conditions to supervisors.
