About The Position

This part-time evening position is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service by keeping assigned buildings clean and welcoming. The cleaner performs a variety of cleaning tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and kitchenettes, maintaining floors and furniture, cleaning windows and glass, and removing trash and recyclables. The position is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is performed in person. The employee must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, climbing, reaching, handling objects and tools, and pushing and pulling. The role frequently involves lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Work may involve exposure to weather, unpleasant or noxious fumes and odors, hazardous environments, and a significant chance of injury. Personal protective equipment, including eye, face, foot, hand, and head protection, is required as applicable to the task.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or General Education Degree (preferred but not required).
At least one year of experience in janitorial or related work (preferred but not required).
Valid Ohio driver's license (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect restroom sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces; polish metal fixtures and replenish restroom supplies.
Clean and disinfect kitchenette and break-room sinks, countertops, tables, floors, chairs, refrigerators, and other appliances; replenish supplies such as hand soap and paper towels.
Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum facility floors and remove debris; perform other floor care such as scrubbing, steam cleaning, shampooing, waxing, and polishing as required.
Dust, clean, and/or polish furniture and equipment, including desks, shelves, bookcases, and partitions; vacuum upholstered furniture as needed.
Remove dust and cobwebs from walls, doors, and windowsills.
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass and remove smudges.
Empty wastebaskets, trash receptacles, and recyclables and transport them to the proper disposal area.
Notify appropriate personnel when cleaning supplies or equipment are needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
