About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with particular focus on floor care. Duties include operating floor scrubbers and buffers, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The role also maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The associate follows company policies and standards for health and safety, operations, merchandising, signage, and loss prevention. They are cross-trained in multiple store areas and support front-end coverage and other business needs. The position requires customer service, effective communication, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Retail customer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the floor scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and support front-end coverage needs.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
