About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, windows, and other areas throughout the store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards; supports customer experience practices and a positive store culture; and is cross-trained to support different store areas and business needs. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0308 in Latham, New York, and is listed as part time.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including floor care.
Operate the scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and the maintenance and operation of floor-care equipment.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
