About The Position

The Cleaner performs cleaning and general upkeep of an assigned area. Depending on the area assigned, duties may include emptying trash and replacing can liners; dusting, wiping, and spot-cleaning furniture, fixtures, and equipment; cleaning and sanitizing bathroom fixtures and floors and restocking paper and soap supplies; sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; and cleaning cafeterias or eating areas. The Cleaner may also perform other duties required by the contract. Cleaners must follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, communicate irregularities or equipment and building damage, and comply with contract security protocols. They are expected to wear company-issued shirts and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.

Requirements

Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role.
Demonstrated good customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
A positive attitude and a strong, reliable work ethic.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be punctual and dependable.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for the duration of the shift.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Empty trash and replace can liners.
Dust, wipe, and spot-clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures and floors and restock paper and soap supplies.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Clean cafeterias or eating areas.
Perform other duties as required by the contract.
Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Communicate irregularities and equipment or building damage.
