About The Position

APAC Alabama, Inc., part of CRH’s South Division, is hiring a Motorgrader Operator for road construction projects in Dothan, Alabama. The position requires prior experience operating a motorgrader and construction equipment. The operator may service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment, perform minor maintenance, and refer major equipment problems to a supervisor. Related work may include shoveling, setting string line, and layout. The listed duties are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Requirements

• Prior experience operating a motorgrader and construction equipment.
• A solid understanding of road construction, including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, and compaction.
• Willingness and ability to learn efficient equipment operation.
• Ability to perform minor equipment servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate a motorgrader on road construction projects.
• Oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Learn and maintain efficient operating condition of equipment; perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to a supervisor.
• Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, and layout.
