About The Position

The Cleaner plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy facility. The position performs daily cleaning tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, servicing restrooms, and emptying trash and recycling. Work takes place primarily indoors across different areas of the facility, with occasional outdoor tasks such as taking out trash. Cleaning may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and routine noise levels.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a Cleaner or Janitor preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Ability to perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Ability to maintain clean, organized, and sanitary restrooms.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to follow routines, instructions, and safety procedures.
Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Professional and neat appearance required.

Responsibilities

Empty trash and recycling bins, replace liners as needed, and keep receptacles clean.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, work areas, and high-touch surfaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors according to the assigned cleaning route.
Inspect areas for items of value and place anything found on the nearest table or desk.
Report mechanical or electrical issues, such as problems with locks, doorknobs, light bulbs, or fixtures, to the supervisor.
Report broken or damaged items before or during the shift.
Move cleaning carts and equipment safely between areas and follow the designated cleaning sequence.
Vacuum and mop elevator lobbies, hallways, and other assigned common areas.
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order.
Follow all safety and company procedures.
