About The Position

Roshana Care Group is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner / Laundry Assistant to join their aged care team at Macleod Aged Care in a casual capacity. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and ensuring laundry services are delivered to a high standard. It is a fast-paced, varied role suitable for someone who enjoys staying active, working in a supportive team, and making a meaningful difference.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cleaning or laundry (preferred but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management and ability to follow routines and procedures
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks
• Reliable, positive, and team-focused attitude
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control practices (or willingness to learn)
• A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
• Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents’ clothing and facility linen
• Ensure correct handling, sorting, and labelling of laundry items
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and cleanliness at all times
• Manage waste disposal and restocking of cleaning and laundry supplies
• Operate cleaning and laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with care and hospitality teams to support a homely environment
