About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency within the plant. Key duties include operating forklifts and sweepers to transport plant garbage, emptying waste receptacles, and cleaning confined spaces for dust collection systems. The position also requires adherence to safety regulations, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

• Ability to operate forklifts and sweepers.
• Ability to empty waste receptacles by hand.
• Ability to clean and work in confined spaces.
• Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and company safety rules.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to accurately record information into a computer or by hand.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and sweepers according to standard operating procedures to transport plant garbage from appropriate production areas to hog room and waste dumpsters.
• Empty waste receptacles by hand into dumpsters as necessary.
• Clean and work in confined space areas to ensure cleaning and proper operation of dust collection.
• Follow all OSHA and company established safety rules.
• Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Accurately record necessary information into a computer or by hand.
