About The Position

UPMC Mon Yough Community Services (MYCS) is seeking a Clean Sweep team member to provide janitorial services at residential sites and office locations in the McKeesport area. The role is part of a program that has served MYCS for more than 30 years and supports a mission-driven team helping individuals with mental health and/or intellectual disabilities build skills, achieve greater independence, and secure meaningful employment. The team member helps maintain safe, welcoming environments for staff and the individuals served. This is a Monday–Friday position. Shifts vary by site and run either 8:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. Prior janitorial experience is required, as is the ability to work independently and in small crews. Team members must maintain a well-groomed appearance and follow the stated dress code. Clean Sweep T-shirts will be provided.

Requirements

Prior janitorial experience.
Ability to work independently and in small crews.
Adult with a past or current connection as a consumer of Mental Health or Intellectual Disabilities Services.
Ability to lift 20 pounds unassisted and more than 20 pounds with assistance.
Demonstrated ability to complete job functions.
OAPSA clearance if the applicant has lived outside Pennsylvania in the past two years.
Act 34 clearance.
OAPSA clearance.

Responsibilities

Vacuum carpeted offices, conference rooms, hallways, and entranceways, including crevices along baseboards, corners, and areas behind doors.
Sweep and mop tiled areas, detailing baseboards and corners.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
Remove trash and replace liners.
Restock supplies and track inventory.
Accurately document timesheets.
Complete weekly or monthly detail cleaning, including spot cleaning walls, doorknobs, light switches, and air vents.
Immediately inform the supervisor of concerns, needs, or unusual events.
Arrive at job sites on time and follow the call-off policy.
Practice safety habits and procedures at all times.
Maintain courteous relationships with consumers, customers, coworkers, and other contacts, striving to exceed their expectations.
Follow program and agency policies, state regulations, and the agency compliance plan.
Maintain a well-groomed appearance and comply with the dress code: long pants, non-slip closed-toe footwear, and no controversial T-shirts, dangling jewelry, facial piercings, or strong fragrances.
