About The Position

Palmdale School District is accepting applications for its 2026–2027 school-year applicant pool for a single-subject English Language Arts classroom teacher. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential or eligibility for an internship credential.
• Possess an English Learner (EL) authorization or be able to obtain one within two years.
• Meet the Basic Skills Requirement or pass the CBEST.
• Demonstrate subject matter competency through a credential or MSAT/NTE/CSET.
• Hold a valid, appropriate California Single Subject Teaching Credential.
• Submit a transcript covering all college-level coursework, a copy of the appropriate credential, a letter of introduction, three signed letters of recommendation dated within the last year (including one from a supervisor), subject matter competency documentation, a resume, and Basic Skills Requirement/CBEST test results or materials.
