Strengthens families by providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. This role provides basic care, special instruction, and educational services to children enrolled in the Child Development Center or participating in Family Support Services at the CDC. The instructor is responsible for creating a loving, consistent, nurturing, and safe learning environment that promotes acceptance, confidence, and self-esteem for all children, including those with special needs. They will prepare and implement assigned curriculum daily, develop structured learning environments with goals and activities based on the child's IEP/IFSP, and prepare weekly lesson plans for parents and staff. Responsibilities also include preparing and serving meals and snacks, assisting with diapering and potty training, maintaining a clean and child-friendly classroom, and completing daily cleaning duties. The instructor will follow the assigned schedule for lunch and kitchen/center clean-up duties. Clear communication with parents and program staff is essential through daily, monthly, and quarterly reports. The role requires understanding and implementing appropriate behavior management techniques, providing support for special education or early intervention services, and reporting observations to supervisors and team members. Staying informed about program information through various communications and participating in meetings and trainings is also required. Adherence to safety procedures, personnel policies, and a Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evenings and weekends is necessary. Regular attendance is required.
