Classroom Aide - Anacortes
About The Position
Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County is hiring a Classroom Aide for its Anacortes Family Center Preschool. The aide joins a caring classroom team to help children explore, play, learn, and grow in a welcoming and supportive environment. The role includes participating in hands-on activities and storytelling, supporting daily routines and transitions, encouraging children, and helping them navigate friendships and take part successfully in classroom activities. The aide works alongside teachers and the Club team and is expected to provide a dependable, patient, flexible, and positive presence. This active role involves moving around the classroom, sitting on the floor, bending, and assisting children as needed. The position is 18–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with pay of $20.20–$21.43 per hour depending on experience/qualifications, plus a $1.00 per hour location differential.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet Washington DCYF background and health standards.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Reliability, a caring manner, and ability to work as part of a supportive team.
Responsibilities

- Help children navigate friendships and participate in classroom activities.
- Offer encouragement and assist children with transitions.
- Work alongside teachers and the Club team to support children's needs.
