About The Position

Central Missouri Community Action (CMCA) is seeking a caring, energetic individual to join our team as a Temporary Classroom Aide in our Head Start classroom. This is a great opportunity to support children's development, assist teaching staff, and gain valuable experience in early childhood education, even if you're only available for a limited time. The pay is $15.09 per hour. This role is located in California, MO.

Requirements

• Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
• Able to follow guidance from teachers and administrators
• A team player who is flexible and eager to help where needed
• Comfortable maintaining a physically active role (e.g., lifting up to 40 lbs., sitting on the floor with children, assisting with diapering and toileting)
• Must have a valid Missouri driver's license and reliable daily transportation

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with young children or low-income families preferred
• Early childhood certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing classroom activities and daily routines
• Help supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing environment
• Support children's learning, social-emotional growth, and daily needs
• Create a clean and welcoming classroom environment
• Assist with meal times and hygiene routines
• Communicate positively with parents and classroom staff
• Follow all safety, confidentiality, and licensing standards
