About The Position

Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in Hamlet, Richmond County, North Carolina. The role supports daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team. The starting rate is $14.00 per hour, and the schedule is Monday through Friday, either 6:45 a.m.–2:45 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain certification. Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings. The job involves actively assisting with classroom activities, supervising children indoors and outdoors, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. UCCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements
