Teachstone•Washington, DC

About The Position

Teachstone engages qualified independent contractors to provide project-based Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) observation services for specific client engagements. This project supports observations in OSSE Pre-Kindergarten classrooms, subject to project needs and contractor availability. Engagement is limited to the specified project term; there is no guarantee of assignments, hours, compensation, or ongoing work, and no expectation of renewal or future engagement. Before accepting assignments, contractors participate in project orientation covering client requirements, deliverables, platform access, administrative processes, and applicable CLASS standards. Accepted work may include conducting CLASS observations, completing post-observation documentation, entering data, submitting invoices, and meeting project-specific deadlines. Contractors must maintain applicable certification and reliability requirements, complete required quality assurance steps, and communicate professionally with client site personnel. Contractors determine the manner and means of performing accepted assignments, subject to deliverable requirements, client site rules, and CLASS standards. They are responsible for their tools, equipment, internet and computer access, transportation, taxes, insurance, and ordinary business expenses unless specific expenses are approved for reimbursement in writing. Teachstone may require proof of insurance. With prior written approval, contractors may engage qualified subcontractors who meet applicable certification and project requirements. Contractors may provide services to other clients provided there is no conflict of interest with accepted assignments. Compensation is specified in the applicable statement of work or contractor agreement and may be negotiated per project or assignment. Teachstone considers qualified contractors without regard to legally protected characteristics.
