About The Position

Oak Harbor Freight Lines is hiring local Pick-up & Delivery / Box Truck Drivers. Drivers operate 24- to 26-foot box trucks or straight trucks to make freight pickups and deliveries at customer locations, using liftgates, power pallet jacks, and other provided equipment. The role generally works Monday through Friday, with weekends off, though weekend or night availability may be needed. The company provides an internal paid training program for employees to become Class A drivers.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a standard driver’s license.
• Have valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Have no DUI or positive drug/alcohol screen in the past 3 years.
• Be able to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and the supervisor/management team.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate box trucks or straight trucks of different sizes.
• Pick up and deliver freight at customer locations using liftgates, power pallet jacks, and other provided equipment.
• Adapt to inclement weather and varying road conditions.
• Meet the company’s dependability standards for employees.
• Chain as needed and work in inclement weather as required.
• Be available to work weekends and/or nights if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
