About The Position
The Class B Route Driver delivers products on a local daily route to grocery stores, helping ensure products are available on store shelves. The driver unloads products, places them in store back rooms, collects proof of delivery, and uses handheld technology to complete daily work. The role involves building relationships in stores, collaborating with coworkers in a fast-paced environment, following DOT rules and regulations, and performing truck inspections. The schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays and early morning start times.
Requirements
- Previous delivery, grocery, or warehouse experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
- Ability to meet medical certification requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment.
- Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Complete the planned local daily route to meet service expectations.
- Unload products and place them in store back rooms.
