About The Position

Maine Oxy is hiring a Class B CDL Driver to deliver specialty gases and related goods on scheduled local routes. The role includes delivering cylinders and hard goods, returning empty cylinders for refilling, maintaining accurate vehicle and load paperwork, and building customer relationships. Drivers perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, operate warehouse equipment, and comply with DOT and OSHA regulations. This is a steady, full-time day-shift position with local routes, home every night and weekends, and overtime typically available. The position is year-round with no seasonal layoffs.

Requirements

• Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement and air brakes.
• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of driving experience or driving school training in the past four years.
• No at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past three years.
• Able to meet DOT physical qualification standards.
• Able to read Safety Data Sheets and comfortable with basic computer order entry.

Responsibilities

• Run a scheduled local route delivering cylinders and hard goods, and return empties for refilling.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document any issues.
• Keep load manifests and vehicle paperwork accurate and balanced with truck counts.
• Build good customer relationships and help customers stay ahead of their cylinder needs.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Follow all DOT and OSHA regulations and keep the truck clean and professional.
