About The Position

The Class B Route Driver delivers products to grocery stores on a local daily route, helping ensure products are available on store shelves. The role includes unloading products, placing them in store back rooms, collecting proof of delivery, and using handheld technology to complete daily work. Drivers build relationships in stores, collaborate with co-workers in a fast-paced environment, follow DOT rules and regulations, and inspect their trucks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays and early morning starts.

Requirements

• Previous delivery, grocery, or warehouse experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
• Ability to meet medical certification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to safely lift 35 pounds and move frozen product using appropriate equipment.
• Ability to meet pre-employment background check, drug test, and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete the planned local daily route to meet service expectations.
• Unload products and place them in the store back room.
• Collect proof of delivery.
• Use handheld technology to complete daily work.
• Build in-store relationships and work effectively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow DOT rules and regulations.
• Perform truck inspections.
