Class B Pressure Welder (AFS)
About The Position
Advanced Flow Systems Pipe Works is an industry leader in welding pipe and pressure vessels, including helical coils for boilers and heaters. They offer a wide range of solutions and capacities in welding, bending, and painting, manufacturing products to customer specifications for both large projects and small components. The company is looking for an experienced and energetic B Pressure Welder to join their production facility in Calgary, Alberta. The Class B Pressure Welder welds standard and custom products, utilizing various hand tools, fabricating custom products from supplied drawings, creating custom jigs and fixtures for production parts, and fabricating metal structures in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- Minimum B Level Ticket
- Welding of Stainless Steel using GMAW
- TIG welding experience with Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel
- MIG welding experience on Stainless and Carbon steel pipe and vessels
- Fitting experience on Stainless and Carbon steel pipe and vessels
- Must be available to work the afternoon shift from 3 PM – 1:30 AM, Monday to Thursday
Responsibilities
- Work with Supervisors and Lead Hands to ensure continuous improvements in the work cells hitting daily goals set, welding according to pre-set parameters using TIG, MIG, and flux core welding processes.
- Read and follow drawings and blueprints to set up, tack, and weld.
- Complete all required paperwork and necessary preparation work.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records.
