About The Position

Clean Harbors in Narrows, Virginia is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to operate light- and heavy-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, including box trucks. The role includes driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites related to hazardous-waste cleanup. Drivers may also assist field laborers as part of a team and, depending on position, perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling. The role may require rotating emergency-response on-call availability every other week, depending on position.

Requirements

Valid Class B CDL.
Ability to use various mobile devices.
Ability to perform the physical functions required for the job.
Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, where applicable.
For positions requiring respirators, meet facial-hair standards under OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

Prioritize health and safety by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes.
Operate commercial vehicles, including a variety of Class B trucks, and assist field laborers when needed.
Load and unload trucks.
Ensure customer satisfaction at the time of service.
Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements and regulations.
Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and other reports.
Follow local, state, provincial, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
Operate vehicles safely in accordance with U.S. DOT and applicable local, state, provincial, and federal requirements.
Follow company operating procedures and environmental health and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
By position, be available for rotating emergency-response on-call duty every other week.
By position, perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling.
