About The Position

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a customer-focused Class B Driver to collect sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customer locations and provide reliable service across the Memphis, Tennessee area. The position operates a 26-foot box truck and includes collecting, delivering, loading, unloading, and storing medical waste containers at customer sites. The role is a permanent, full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for 45 hours per week. The stated pay rate is $24.50 per hour and is non-negotiable. Overtime opportunities are available. Full-time employees receive benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one.

Requirements

Hold a Class B license and a valid DOT medical card.
Have a clean driving record.
Have at least 3 years of experience operating a 26-foot box truck.
Pass a 7-year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Have experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
Have experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
Demonstrate a can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
Have proven longevity in past employment.
Have touch freight experience.

Responsibilities

Operate a 26-foot box truck safely.
Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
Complete deliveries according to schedule and clearly communicate changes.
Load, unload, and organize the truck according to schedule needs.
Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and participate in roadside inspections.
Push and pull a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 pounds.
