About The Position
Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Delivery Associate (Commercial Driver). As a Delivery Associate you will be our company ambassadors. Delivery Associates delivers our quality product to our customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or B
- Must provide a clean driving record, no DUI’s within the past 10 years
- Must have a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Must be able to lift 60-100 pounds
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be willing to work 3:00AM or 5:00AM start times
- Must have at least two years of CDL experience
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish) a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver product based on routed stops
- Unload product from truck at stops
- Count product to ensure accurate delivery
- Assist customers with questions, concerns, or inquiries
- Follow all traffic and safety laws
- Conduct a Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspection on vehicles daily
- Maintain Driver’s electronic log
- Use our technologically advanced Proof-of-Delivery system to provide excellent and positive customer service
