Class B Driver 1st shift - Medical Waste Containers
About The Position
Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a full-time, permanent Class B Driver to operate a box truck of up to 26 feet in the Shakopee, Minnesota area. The driver collects, delivers, and stores sharps and medical waste containers at healthcare customer locations while providing attentive customer service. The route is managed under leadership direction, and drivers are expected to complete deliveries on schedule, communicate changes or challenges, and comply with DOT requirements. This is a Monday–Friday role, approximately 5 a.m. until finished, with 40 hours per week and opportunities for overtime. The stated base rate is $28 per hour, or $30 per hour for drivers with a HAZMAT endorsement. New hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus: $1,000 after 30 days of employment and $2,000 after 90 days. Full-time employees receive benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one. The role involves heavy lifting. The employer conducts background checks and drug testing as part of the post-offer hiring process.
Requirements
- Class B driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Delivery experience driving a 26-foot box truck.
- Driving experience in an industry involving manual handling.
- Experience performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Flexible, can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
- Confidence with Level 1 through Level 3 road checks.
- Proven longevity in previous employment.
- On-time delivery practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities
