Class B Delivery Driver
About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class B Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves performing pre and post-trip inspections, quality checks, and the safe transportation and unloading of finished goods to customers. The driver will operate a 6' box truck and utilize material-handling equipment. Adherence to DOT compliance and safety regulations is crucial. While most deliveries are bump-dock, the driver must be prepared to unload goods to customer specifications. In rare instances of short routes, assistance in shipping or other departments may be required. This position offers competitive pay and the potential for overtime.
Requirements
- Class B CDL and valid DOT Medical Card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Bend, twist, squat or stoop throughout the day
- Sit for extended period of time
Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post trip inspection on 6' box truck
- Quality checks on finished product prior to delivery
- Load, transport, and unload finished goods at customers instruction
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed
- Keep the truck and work areas clean and organized
- Adhere to DOT compliance and safety rules
- Participate in deliveries by unloading to customers specifications as needed
- In rare event of short route must be willing to assist in shipping or similar departments
