About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class B Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves local deliveries with a focus on ensuring timely and safe transport of goods. While most routes are local and return home daily, there is a small possibility of a single overnight run. The driver will be responsible for pre and post-trip inspections, quality checks, loading and unloading, and operating material-handling equipment. Adherence to DOT compliance and safety regulations is paramount.
Requirements
- Class B CDL and valid DOT Medical Card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to participate in deliveries by unloading to customers specifications as needed
- Willingness to assist in shipping or similar departments in rare event of short route
Nice To Haves
- Experience with bump-dock deliveries
Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post trip inspection on 6' box truck
- Quality checks on finished product prior to delivery
- Load, transport, and unload finished goods at customers instruction
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed
- Keep the truck and work areas clean and organized
- Adhere to DOT compliance and safety rules
- Assist in shipping or similar departments in rare event of short route
