About The Position

SouthernCarlson is hiring a full-time Class B Commercial Driver in Sacramento, California. The role supports customers in the construction and industrial industries by safely delivering merchandise, providing dependable service, and maintaining high safety standards. The driver works independently while communicating with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery-related issues. The schedule is Monday through Friday on day shift, with pay of $28.00–$30.00 per hour. SouthernCarlson is a North American distributor of construction and packaging tools, fasteners, jobsite supplies, and related services. Requirements

Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no restrictions.
Experience operating vehicles over 26,000 lbs.
Experience with flatbed trucks, air brake systems, and manual transmissions.
Clean DMV record and ability to pass DOT background and drug screening.
Ability to lift 75–100 lbs as part of delivery responsibilities.
Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
Safely load, transport, and unload merchandise at customer locations.
Plan efficient delivery routes and adjust for traffic or construction conditions.
Pull and verify orders against delivery manifests.
Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries.
Communicate with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery-related issues.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and follow company procedures.
