About The Position
GR Birdwell Construction is looking for a dependable, hardworking Class B CDL Driver to join its team in Houston, Texas. The driver transports parts, equipment, materials, and supplies, including to and from construction sites. The role also includes vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting, compliance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures, and assisting with general construction and equipment-related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to perform parts pickups and other errands as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating rollback trucks preferred.
- Experience pulling a gooseneck trailer preferred.
- Construction or heavy-equipment experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate rollback trucks.
- Operate 1-ton trucks with gooseneck trailers.
- Pick up and deliver parts, equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Transport equipment and materials to and from construction sites.
- Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials safely.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain vehicles and report mechanical issues.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Assist with general construction and equipment-related duties as needed.
- Communicate with field crews, vendors, and supervisors.
- Perform parts pickups and other errands as needed.
