About The Position

American Welding & Gas Inc. is hiring a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Sulphur, Louisiana. The driver loads, unloads, moves, and stores gas and liquid cylinders and other supplies; delivers products to customers or other branches; and accurately completes delivery paperwork. The role requires following company Standard Operating Procedures and complying with DOT and OSHA regulations. Drivers also maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Class B CDL with HazMat and Airbrake endorsements, or the ability to obtain both endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; frequently lift 50–75 pounds and maneuver cylinders weighing over 100 pounds, including by rolling them or using a cart.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, background assessment, and company-administered road test.
• Ability to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and store gas and liquid cylinders and other hard-good supplies.
• Deliver products to customers or other company branches.
• Complete delivery tickets, shipping papers, and other required paperwork accurately.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Comply with DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Move, load, and unload empty and full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
