About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a Class A Tractor-Trailer Driver in Cleveland, Ohio, to transport donations and merchandise between donation centers, retail stores, warehouses, and corporate offices. The driver operates agency vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and state and local traffic laws. The schedule is first shift, four 10-hour days per week, with evenings at home and three days off each week. The position pays $25.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Tow motor certification.
• Background check and drug screen are required.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of driving experience.
• Tow motor experience.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned deliveries and pickups of materials, merchandise, and mail between retail stores, ADCs, warehouses, and corporate offices.
• Complete the manifest on a tablet after each pickup and delivery.
• Operate the assigned vehicle safely and lawfully.
• Load and unload using safe practices and promptly report accidents.
• Assist with donations on site and provide donors and customers with prompt, friendly service.
• Complete vehicle logs, maintenance reports, and mileage reports accurately each day.
• Perform routine maintenance checks, such as checking fluid levels, and report repair needs to the transportation manager.
• Keep the vehicle clean, neat, and safe.
• Attend in-service training as assigned.
• Follow all safety policies.
• End every donor interaction with: “You changed a life today, thank you!”
