About The Position

POOLCORP is hiring a local CDL driver for its SCP location in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Drivers make safe, complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to customers while complying with Department of Transportation requirements and other applicable regulations. Drivers are home every night, and the company guarantees at least 40 hours per week even when weather prevents deliveries. Compensation is $28–$30 per hour, with benefits and the opportunity to earn up to $3,500 in annual bonuses. This is a safety-sensitive position. External employment offers are contingent on successful pre-employment drug testing and background verification. Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license; a HAZMAT endorsement is preferred.
Have an MVR and PSP showing no more than two combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years.
Be able to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to carry out instructions with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment.
Moffett, Skelly, or air brake experience.

Responsibilities

Make deliveries using effective routes to ensure orders arrive on time.
Load and unload the vehicle, secure products properly, and separate hazardous materials appropriately.
Collect payments and accurately document deliveries.
Comply with state and federal regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and notify a supervisor of needed maintenance.
Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
