About The Position

POOLCORP is hiring a local Class A CDL truck driver for its SCP Sales Center in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Drivers make safe, complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries while complying with Department of Transportation and other applicable regulations. Deliveries are local, and drivers are home every night. Drivers are guaranteed at least 40 hours per week, whether or not deliveries can be made. Pay is $28–$30 per hour, with benefits and the opportunity to earn up to $3,500 in annual bonuses. This is a safety-sensitive role. Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license; a HAZMAT endorsement is preferred.
Have no more than two combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years, as indicated by the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP).
Be able to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to carry out instructions with minimal supervision.
Successfully complete pre-employment drug testing and background verifications.

Nice To Haves

HAZMAT endorsement.
Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment.
Moffett, Skelly, or air brake experience.

Responsibilities

Make deliveries using effective routes to ensure orders arrive on time.
Load and unload the vehicle, secure products, and separate hazardous materials appropriately.
Collect payments and accurately document deliveries.
Comply with state and federal regulations, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform a supervisor of maintenance needs.
Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
