About The Position

Gemini Motor Transport, a nationwide for-hire fuel, crude, and specialty products motor carrier, is hiring a Class A Fuel Tanker Driver. Drivers operate company trucks to load and deliver fuel and other commodities to Love’s retail locations and third-party customers. The role requires safe, defensive driving and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures for hazardous cargo tank vehicles. Drivers use company safety features and technology, coordinate with logistics as needed, and complete electronic logs and other required documentation. The typical schedule is Sunday through Thursday on the night shift, with a 12 PM start time and Friday and Saturday off; availability for variable shifts based on business needs is required. Gemini operates 24/7/365.

Requirements

• Commercial Driver’s License and appropriate endorsements, including HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples, as required by law.
• Qualify physically and obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate under applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• 1–2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience or certification from an accredited truck driving academy.
• Knowledge of applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• At least 21 years of age and able to meet the qualifications in 49 CFR Section 391.11(b)(1).
• Ability to read and speak English in accordance with 49 CFR Section 391.11(b)(2).
• Ability to work variable shifts according to business needs.
• Ability to drive for up to 11 hours and work a total of 14 hours while transporting hazardous materials and sitting for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Normal range of hearing, vision, and smell.

Responsibilities

• Drive defensively and follow applicable laws and regulations to support Gemini’s safety standards.
• Drive company trucks to load and deliver fuel and commodities to Love’s retail locations and third-party customers.
• Comply with federal, state, local, and company rules for safe operation of hazardous cargo tank motor vehicles.
• Follow proper loading and unloading methods for the cargo being transported.
• Maintain contact with logistics as needed and required.
• Complete electronic driver logs and other required documentation.
• Follow company guidelines for professional conduct with customers, employees, vendors, and the motoring public.
• Perform required vehicle inspections and safely hook and drop tractor/trailer combinations.
