About The Position

Gemini Motor Transport is a nationwide for-hire fuel, crude, and specialty-products motor carrier. Its modern fleet features safety equipment and technology, and the company emphasizes safe service for its professional drivers and customers. Drivers operate company trucks to load and deliver fuel and other commodities to Love’s retail locations and third-party customers. The carrier operates 24/7/365. This position typically works Thursday through Monday on the night shift, starting at 3 p.m., with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Shifts may vary according to business needs. Drivers earn $30–$32 per hour depending on scheduled shift and location, with overtime pay after 40 hours worked per week. Drivers are eligible for monthly and annual bonuses and a $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments at 90 and 180 days of employment. Drivers must safely operate hazardous-cargo tank vehicles, follow applicable regulations and company policies, load and unload cargo properly, maintain contact with logistics as needed, complete electronic logs and other required documentation, and act professionally with customers, coworkers, vendors, and the motoring public. The role requires a Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements, a qualifying medical certificate, and the ability to meet the physical and regulatory requirements of commercial driving.

Requirements

Hold a Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements, as well as any other endorsements required by law.
Qualify physically and obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate under 49 CFR Sections 391.43–49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Have 1–2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience or certification from an accredited truck-driving academy.
Know applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
Be at least 21 years old and meet the qualifications in 49 CFR Section 391.11(b)(1).
Be able to read and speak English as required by 49 CFR Section 391.11(b)(2).
Be available to work variable shifts according to business needs.
Be able to drive for up to 11 hours and work a total of 14 hours while transporting hazardous materials and sitting for extended periods.
Be able to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, and climb to perform required vehicle inspections.
Be able to grasp, lift, and handle heavy equipment during tractor-trailer hookup and drop processes; climb onto trailers when necessary; and handle hose sections that may exceed 20 feet in length, measure up to 4 inches in diameter, and weigh up to 75 pounds.
Have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Have a normal range of hearing, vision, and smell.
Employment offers may be conditioned on an acceptable background check report and/or drug screen.

Responsibilities

Drive defensively and follow applicable laws and regulations to support Gemini’s safety standards.
Drive company trucks to load and deliver fuel and commodities to Love’s retail locations and third-party customers.
Comply with applicable federal, state, local, and company rules governing the safe operation of hazardous-cargo tank motor vehicles.
Use proper loading and unloading methods for the cargos being transported.
Maintain contact with logistics as needed and required.
Complete electronic driver logs and all required documentation.
Follow company guidelines for professional conduct with customers, employees, vendors, and the motoring public.
Perform vehicle inspections and safely complete tractor-trailer hookup and drop processes.
