Class A CDL Regional Driver
About The Position
We’re seeking reliable Class A CDL drivers for regional intermodal routes across Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Drivers transport freight in containers and chassis, with a mix of drop-and-hook and live loading or unloading. Expect consistent miles and opportunities for higher mileage based on availability and performance. Drivers are expected to travel at least 1,800 miles per week. Top drivers may run up to 2,800 miles with 48 hours off. Approximately 75% of work is drop-and-hook and 25% is live load/unload. Freight is mostly containers, with a small percentage of refrigerated freight. Drivers operate automatic mid-roof sleeper tractors. Drivers within 50 miles of the Chicago terminal must park trucks at the account. Training lasts 1–2 weeks, with hotel accommodations provided. Holiday pay is available after one year, and PTO increases with tenure.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- Obtain a hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire.
